Central to our calling is the ministry of prayer. In person, in prayer meetings, and as part of weekly worship service prayer teams, Deacons pray for the needs of our church family. Deacons prepare and serve communion during worship and provide in-home communion to people who are not able to attend. We also coordinate the provision of meals when life is interrupted by significant events. Through the Driving Ministry the Deacons provide rides to worship services for those members who lack transportation. This is an important and meaningful service to several of our members on a weekly basis.

Just as we serve God through these ministries within our congregation, we also extend the love of Jesus beyond the walls of GraceWay into the surrounding Tri-Valley area. This is accomplished through donations the Deacons make to local and regional ministries that meet urgent needs with Christian compassion and care. These agencies have the training and the resources necessary to meet specific needs on a scale than we are not able to do on our own. Prayer and financial support provided through the collection of a twice-yearly Deacon Offering enable God’s blessings to be multiplied as these organizations serve the needs of literally hundreds of individuals and families.
