enews February 21, 2025
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.
1 Timothy 2:1-6

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday Prayer & Ashes Drop-In | Wednesday, March 5 | 7:00 am - 10:00 am | GraceWay Church
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of preparing our hearts for the Easter celebration. By receiving ashes on our foreheads (a sign of our mortality), we acknowledge our need for grace and commit to turning our hearts toward Jesus through prayer, fasting, and giving to others.
Pastor Mary will be in our youth room (temporarily converted to a prayer room), to administer ashes, and distribute resources for growing closer to Jesus this Lent season.
Christ in the Passover: A Seder
Maundy Thursday, April 17, at 6pm, GraceWay Church will host “Christ in the Passover: A Seder.” This powerful dinner event, led by Jennifer S. Razzouk of Jews for Jesus, will help us discover the link between the Jewish feast of Passover and the last supper Jesus shared with His disciples.
Join us for an exploration of the beautiful symbolism of the Jewish ceremonial meal called a seder. We’ll weave the story of the exodus and freedom from slavery together with the messianic hope realized in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The words “do this in remembrance of me” will take on an even deeper meaning to Christians as we learn the significance of and fully participate in the tradition Jesus observed the night before He died, giving us a closer look at the very Jewish life He led.
Jewish or not, religious or not—all are welcome for this unforgettable, thought-provoking experience.

Discover Your Purpose: A Study of the Westminster Catechism
In the 1640s, theologians compiled The Westminster Confession, a widely respected summary of biblical teaching, and its Westminster Catechism distills key truths in a helpful Q&A format. This guide has long helped people in their search for purpose: why was I created?

We will explore the questions, their answers, and the precise biblical foundations behind them. Our 90-minute Zoom meetings will include reading, discussion, and reflection to help deepen our faith and understanding.
